ALLIANCE OF NATIONS?

The Retrofit Alliance of Nations brings together leading organisations from across the UK & Ireland to strengthen collaboration on domestic retrofit.

Members include the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), the Belfast Retrofit Hub, Built Environment – Smarter Transformation in Scotland, and the Welsh Zero Carbon Hwb. Each nation operates within different policy frameworks and delivery structures, but face shared challenges  aligned to the delivery of high quality retrofit at scale.

The Alliance provides a structured forum to align priorities, share learning, and explore coordinated approaches.

WHY IT MATTERS?

Retrofit does not operate in isolation within national borders. Skills, supply chains, evidence, and innovation flow across regions. Without coordination, there is a risk of duplication, fragmented standards, and missed opportunities for shared progress.

The Alliance enables joint exploration of priority themes such as quality assurance, workforce development, baseline data, and community engagement. It creates space for practical exchange between nations facing similar pressures under different systems.

By working together, members strengthen collective influence and accelerate delivery across the UK and Ireland.
