Between 2018-2020, The Centre for Sustainable Energy supported seven local authorities to develop and test approaches to enforcing Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) in the private rented sector.
In each local authority approches develope for:
• Accurate data collection.
• Team structures and processes.
• Engaging landlords.
• Promoting awareness of MEES, and encouraging compliance.
CSE produced a toolkit which is available to all local authorities. It contains case studies, templated resources, learning modules and recommended processes.
